Luchong is a multidisciplinary artist exploring the emotional landscapes that shape human experiences. Through painting, sound development, and storytelling, she investigates themes of vulnerability, quiet emotion, connection and the things we often learn to suppress.

Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, Luchong creates figurative paintings distinguished by their captivating gaze, subtle expressions, and richly textured surfaces. Incorporating fabric, sculptural jewellery, and hand-moulded embellishments, she builds layered works that invite prolonged engagement. Her subjects often appear quiet and contemplative, yet their presence carries an emotional intensity that encourages viewers to look beyond the surface and reflect on their own inner experiences.

Central to her practice is a desire to create spaces for emotional reflection. Drawing from personal experiences and observations, her work explores the ways people navigate vulnerability, self-discovery, and the complexities of being human. Alongside painting, Luchong creates immersive sound pieces composed entirely from her layered vocal recordings, breath, resonance, and vibration. Developed in conversation with her paintings, these sound works emerge through a process of listening and response.
